How a financial institution gained accountability and transparency on their projects with AchieveIt
ABOUT ROBERT W. BAIRD
Baird has guided families, businesses, communities, and institutions toward their financial goals for a century. Employee-owned Baird offers wealth management, investment banking, asset management, institutional sales and trading, equity research, public finance, and private equity services across the United States, Europe and Asia.
LIFE IS GOOD
Baird has been a strong, stable, and trusted financial partner across generations and through many market cycles. Currently, they manage and oversee more than $305 billion in assets for clients around the world. And their Operations team specifically manages all the projects coming in and distributes based on priority to their appropriate IT business partners.
BIG CHALLENGE
But with a success and growth, change management was the only constant. To track and monitor key projects and processes, Baird used SharePoint and Excel spreadsheets. While manageable for simple tasks, these processes weren’t ideal to enable efficient business growth. In particular, visibility across the department the Operations team supported was challenging. Getting everyone within the organization to buy into key process and see the big picture of all the initiatives was a major obstacle faced daily.
HELP ARRIVES
So, they turned to AchieveIt. With a single source of truth, steady reporting, and consistent progress updates, the team is now able to make more effective decisions. Through clear insights into progress, their project lifecycle is more regulated through an understanding of when they, and their IT team, can intake additional work. Knowing messaging and data is accurate, the team is better able to build confidence amongst not only their team, but the rest of the organization.
LIFE IS EVEN BETTER
Now, AchieveIt is helping their Operations team be more organized, transparent, and accountable. This results in meaningful and actionable conversations about the current bandwidth of the business, allowing the team to work differently while continuing to build relationships and execute new projects.
Implementing AchieveIt was probably my biggest accomplishment in my role to date. People are now seeing the benefit, which is really growing the confidence of the team. They are finally understanding what is happening, and we have that open dialog we didn’t have before. It has allows us to think differently.”
